Laser Therapy & Stretch Mark Removal
While laser therapy is not usually recommended during pregnancy, after you have given birth it is an excellent way to treat stretch marks.
Stretch marks can appear in various parts of the body: the abdomen, buttocks, breasts and thighs are typical. Laser treatment can significantly reduce or clear the appearance of stretch marks in any skin type with improvements of up to 75%. Although they won’t be completely removed, they will be rendered far less noticeable.
Stretch marks go through various stages. Initially they are likely to be red or purple in colour, then the colour gradually fades though the marks remain visible. Laser therapy can treat them at their early stage when they are still colourful.
The blood vessels in the region around and below the stretch marks absorb the laser energy causing the blood vessels to break down. As they do so the colours fade or turn white. Several treatments might be required depending on their severity and your particular skin type.
The whole procedure is entirely painless and non-invasive. It won’t totally eliminate your stretch marks but it will make them considerably less noticeable.
